Jim Haslip, aka 67Mik, served as the aerial observer in the Helena Area Forests, DNRC, BLM and private lands (our eyes in the sky).  If Jim had not have passed away, this summer would have been his 50th consecutive year in that job.  Jim’s first priority was always firefighter safety and taking care of the forest he loved so much. Jim was out spoken, honest, and no one will probably ever know the wildland in the center of the State of Montana as Jim did. Jim’s carrying and knowledge will be greatly missed by all who worked with him.  Our deepest sympathy to Jim’s family, coworkers and friends.
